Golden Reflections

Golden sun upon my face

my eyes are filled

with light and grace

the mist it swirls around my soul

and the water cleanses days of old!

Golden sun you cannot hide

your heat lingers

through day and night

reflections cast of argent light

send shivers up & down my spine

Mountains rise

in shimmering light

casting shadows of iridescent

gold & white

Radiance glows and eradicates

destructive thoughts

that trap the brain!

Golden hours have

made me strong

warm reflections

creating magic thoughts

framed in beauty,

drinking in the view

my mind goes quiet,

and I finally

see the truth!

I opened the box

and there I saw

the most beautiful flowers

in a colour that shone

Pink in many different shades

jumped out at me

with a little note attached

that made me sing!

Mom I love you

you are the best

you gave me everything

have no regrets!

my tears fell upon the petals!

my flowers

they are so special

forever they are captured

in my heart

they’re on my wall

never too far!!

Chasing Rosy

Tired afer an exhausting day

I sit under the tree

in the evening shade

the sunset purple,

rose, gold & tangerine

light up the sky in crimson

it’s a cinematic dream!

and there in the golden light

Rosy appears to my sheer delight!

For a very long time

she would appear & disappear

when I feed her favorite fishy bites

My Rosy in my camera lens, she smiles

she’s finally letting me take her picture

in the glowing sunset light

so now I can paint her portrait

with that beautiful friendly smile

and then she flips her tail, winks!

and waves goodbye!

Heaven Meets Sea

I met you by the shimmering sea

Sparkling water dancing

around your feet

Blue as blue as far as the eye could see

Birds flying over you

on the summer breeze

Your eyes so blue

they matched the sea

I think I’m in heaven,

as the clouds envelope me

Mountains in the distance

misty and so surreal

I want to float and dream

soft waves lapping over me

Your hair was gleaming in the sun

you lay asleep,

the gulls flying up above

I closed my eyes and dreamt of you

‘Heaven meets Sea’

a voice whispered from up above

I knew, I would never, ever forget you!
