Introduction to Beaded Art

First I paint the subject of interest,

acrylics on canvas, next step,

I glue by hand each bead,

sequin, or any other material I use

to accentuate the painting!

I love the results!

I hope you do too! It takes time and

patience but the results are exquisite!

My Night

Just before sunrise,

from my window I see

my palette of colors

shades of yellows, blues and greens,

my mind is departing, but my spirit is free

my brush is on fire, recreating this scene!

There is a village, I think I can see

the top of a steeple, a roof and a street

I’m longing to see stars fall from the sky

a town of friendly faces,

the moon with a smile!

And so left with a dream,

in my window I stand

a child with a canvas,

a field of green grass

I’m dreaming of heaven,

stars light up the sky!

a heaven of colors,

shimmering golds and whites

and my soul is lifted into the night!

Nerida

Nerida the mermaid,

the queen of the sea

A vision of beauty,

only the mind can see!

when the tide is high

and the moon luminates the deep

Nerida will come floating

in her full radiancy!

Is it a dream or just a fantasy?

I just want one more glimpse

of the queen of the sea!

but then I see my illusion

drifting slowly away

as the dawn pushes the moon

far over the bay!

Nerida has vanished

and left a glittering light

and the waves come crashing!

leaving salty tears in my eyes!

From where I’m standing,

I can see this tree

lost in it’s aura, it’s dancing branches

merging sending sparkling beams

I’m drawn into this magnificent light

as it chases my shadows

far into the night!

My spirits are lifted my mind is alight,

My Moon Tree weaves magic

leaving no cobwebs behind

take a moment and stare into the light

let it sooth and captivate

your roaming mind!

Moon Tree please set us free,

reach out with your branches

clean the air that we breath

your roots rewinding

the web that we weave !

Fantasy Garden

I felt a presence amongst the trees

as the breath of wind

threw floating petals around my feet

I drifted slowly through shades of green

sparkling orange and luscious fields

I heard a rustle behind the tree

Turning suddenly in disbelief

I saw a tiger starring at me!

He looked at me from head to toe

obviously displeased by what he saw

A baggy shirt, with ripped up jeans!

a skinny human with no meat!

He turned his head and walked away

In shock I realized

those skinny injections

saved the day!

I wish I could loose

those last few pounds!

My English rose garden

is in full bloom

colors and shades in heavenly hues

Rain drops cluster on top of their leaves

making them sparkle

their petals flutter like butterfly wings

My red rose kisses the summer air

releasing a fragrance

I love to wear

Dishy Groucho is so terribly handsome

He passes the mirror

and what does he see

a sexy moustache

and sparkling eyes

of blue and green

The girls they all want him

they love his physique

so Groucho parades for hours

up & down the long sandy beach

So Mr. Groucho are you free?

Groucho smiles, flexes his biceps

and stares at the sea

Yes and I’m sexy and charming

as you can see

now would you be so kind

and take a picture of me?

and make sure I look stylish & dapper

so I can spend all my time

looking at me!
